This blog records David and Elaine’s voyages on the sailing yacht Vigdis.
Vigdis is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35. Bought at the Paris Boat Show in December 2006 and launched at Hyères in the south of France in April 2007. She’s the 2 cabin version with slab-reefing.
In 2007 we sailed from France down the west coast of Italy to Malta. In 2008 we sailed to Greece and spent most of 2008 in the Ionian. In 2009 we sailed round the Peloponnese and across the Cyclades to Leros in the Dodecanese where we’re currently based . In 2010 we sailed over to the Northern Sporades and back and in 2011 we sailed east along the Turkish coast.
We currently sail for 2 to 3 months every year. The blog is updated every week or so as we travel, usually over a mobile phone internet connection, and often using a small internet tablet. To make this easier, the photos are posted separately – see yachtvigdis photos in Flickr.
